About the Workshop: 

Do you love the idea of painting portraits, but are often held back by fear, or perhaps attempted a few portraits and been uninspired or discouraged by the results? This workshop focuses on removing those fears or challenges that are keeping you from enjoying the process of painting people. Through this workshop, I will show you many techniques I use to create depth in a portrait, using transparent and opaque watercolor. We’ll work with many of my favorite art supplies and techniques including: using white (and black without any fear), glazes, create smooth gradient backgrounds, custom mixing opaque watercolor, fixing and removing mistakes, all while building and creating mood and depth in your portrait!
